The Eagles dominated the first half of the Super Bowl last night, taking a 24-14 lead into halftime.
Then the Birds defense cratered, allowing the Chiefs 24 second-half points, scoring on every possession, and won the game 38-35.
The Eagles’ defensive coordinator is Jonathan Gannon, who will interview for the Arizona Cardinals’ head coaching job today.
The Eagles had the league’s No. 2 total defense and allowed the eighth-fewest points in 2022.
But the last thing we all saw from his defense was a collapse in the Super Bowl.
Gannon refused to blitz, and Patrick Mahomes ran wild.
You think the Cards noticed?
