EAGLES D-JAX DIDN’T PRACTICE: OUT FOR VIKES, BACK FOR COWBOYS?

By Mary Cunningham

Against the Washington Redskins in Week 1, Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson went off for 154 yards and two touchdowns on eight receptions.

However, an abdomen injury has kept him out of action since then. He remained sidelined yesterday for practice heading into their Week 6 matchup with the Minnesota Vikings.

Jackson (abdomen), Ronald Darby (hamstring), Avonte Maddox (concussion/neck), Corey Clement (shoulder), Tim Jernigan (foot) and Darren Sproles (quad) all missed practice yesterday.

The Eagles are 3-2 on the year and have had some recent offensive struggles. Now they face a very tough Minnesota defense.

The Vikings are also 3-2 on the year and have a defense that has allowed the fourth fewest total yards per game (292.4) and fifth fewest points per game (14.6) so far.

It looks like the Eagles will have to get through this week without their dangerous deep threat. In fact, it’s unclear if they will even have him available to them next week for their Sunday Night Football clash with the Dallas Cowboys.
