Eagles defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon doesn’t have the horses to mount a challenge to most NFL offenses.
But yesterday he again looked overmatched.
He had no answers for the Bolts and QB Justin Herbert.
.@eagles D had 2 great moments v @chargers on their 2 4th down stops. The rest of the day tge #bolts did what they wanted to do. Played like gracious hosts. #BaldysBreakdowns pic.twitter.com/T4qqwT4LbR

He has no idea how to put his players in the best position to ensure their success, and at this point, talking about his refusal to bring the blitz, his fear of allowing his guys to be aggressive, and the cushion he’s asking his cover guys to give opposing receivers is embarrassing.
Perhaps Tom Kelly of 94 WIP-FM puts it best:
No clue what Gannon is thinking at all on this drive. His complete unwillingness to be aggressive even when the situation begs for it is astonishing.
