EAGLES CONQUER TEXAS — HOPE PHILS DO TOO!

By Art Beitchman

Coming off a short week plus traveling, the Eagles came out a bit sluggish before beating up on the lowly Houston Texans 29-17, moving to 8-0 for the first time in franchise history.

QB Jalen Hurts tossed a pair of TD’s to A.J. Brown and Dallas Goedert, throwing for 243 yards on 21-27 passing.

Miles Sanders and Kenneth Gainwell also ran for scores.

Texans RB Damien Pierce had a big day running for 139 yards on 27 carries, and the Birds missed rookie DT Jordan Davis for the 1st time this season with a high ankle sprain. He’s been put on the IL for four weeks to heal up.

The Birds get a mini-bye with 10 days off before taking on the Washington Commanders on MNF November 14th, 8:15pm at the Linc.
