The Eagles have signed 6-foot, 175-pound cornerback Mac McCain off Denver’s practice squad to their active roster.
McCain had signed with Denver as a rookie free agent out of North Carolina A&T, where he started all 29 game in over three seasons.
As a freshman in 2017, McCain was a first-team all-conference and third-team FCS All-America selection after recording six interceptions and returning three of them for touchdowns. He was the FCS National Player of the Week after a three-interception, two-touchdown performance against Morgan State.
He earned All-MEAC honors again in both 2018 and 2019 before the 2020 season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. McCain ran a 4.48 in the 40 and jumped 35.5 inches during the HBCU Combine prior to the 2021 NFL Draft.
