13-1 IS NICE: BIRDS CRUSHING DALLAS FOR TOP SEED WOULD BE NICER!

By Art Beitchman

After a slow start in Chicago’s frigid Soldier Field, the Eagles got serious against a Bears team looking for the big upset.

QB Jalen Hurts shook off two interceptions then looked to his number 1 receiver A.J. Brown.

All Brown did was deliver a career day performance with 181 yards on 9 catches, feasting on any defensive back the Bears put on him all afternoon.

WR Devonta Smith also had a huge day catching 8 passes for 126 yards.

Hurts scored all 3 Eagles TD’s on 2 QB sneaks, one on a 22-yard scamper at the end of the first half when he went in untouched.

The Birds defense also chipped in with 6 QB sacks and 2 forced fumbles as the team won it’s 13th game of the year.

The other two times in Eagles history they recorded 13 wins were preludes to the Super Bowl.

That’s the goal, with one more win they wrap up home field advantage with the #1 seed throughout the NFC playoffs.

And that one more win could come next Saturday night in Dallas against the hated Cowboys.
