The question at Eagles training camp after Thursday’s drills was:
Has anyone seen linebackers Kiko Alonso, DeMeco Ryans and Mychal Kendricks (above)?
On Thursday, they all were missing in action.
None of the three players practiced a few days ahead of the team’s Sunday preseason opener against the Colts. Alonso’s injury is the most serious as Thursday continued an absence dating to when he suffered a concussion last Tuesday. Defensive coordinator Bill Davis admitted it’s “probably fair” to assume Alonso will miss Sunday’s game, but downplayed any other concern.
“He is fine,” Davis said. “I’ve got no worries about Kiko. He’ll be fine. Just being cautious that’s all. I know he’s not out here today but I’m not concerned at all.”
Kendricks has been sidelined by “little nit-picky things” while Ryans is coming back from last year’s torn Achilles. Davis said he’d look forward to “evaluation” time of players further down the depth chart in the event the veterans are all out against Indy.
