The NBA draft lottery is still 25 days away on May 19, but Sixers fans now know that even if their faves fall out of the 1 or 2 spot and land 3rd or 4th they can grab a world class point guard:
D’Angelo Russell averaged 19.3 points, 5.7 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game for Ohio State, which went 24-11 last season. He was the Big Ten Freshman of the Year and finished second behind Jahlil Okafor in CBSSports.com’s Freshman of the Year Watch.
The one-and-done point guard was a dazzler last season; his vision and savvy for the Buckeyes pretty much lifted that team to an NCAA tournament berth. OSU fell in the Round of 32 to No. 2 Arizona.
