Cristopher Sánchez was outstanding in last night’s Phils victory over the Mets, piling up 10 strikeouts over seven innings of two-run pitching.
The 26-year-old hurler scattered just three hits and one walk.
All of the damage done against him came on a two-run blast off the bat of Ronny Mauricio in the sixth inning.
Sánchez piled up 20 swings and misses on 96 pitches in the contest — a whopping 16 of those on his changeup alone — while registering an elite CSW of 36 percent.
He’ll bring a strong 3.48 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and a 95/16 K/BB ratio (98 1/3 innings) into his final start of the regular season on Saturday in a rematch against these same Mets in New York.
