New city pandemic rules imposed yesterday will bar any fans from attending Eagles games at the Linc.
Just as well.
Nobody is clamoring to see this terrible team in person!
The team made the announcement shortly after city officials announced sweeping restrictions on businesses and events once again as Covid-19 cases climb to record levels. Indoor dining, gyms, museums, libraries, youth centers, community centers and school sports will be required to shut down on Friday, the Department of Public Health announced after Philly reported a record-breaking number of new Covid-19 cases Friday with more than 1,100 positive tests.
The move is a reversal of a loosening of certain restrictions this summer. For the Eagles specifically, the news comes almost exactly a month after the city relaxed its limits on event capacity beginning Oct. 16, allowing the team to bring fans back to Lincoln Financial Field for the next three home games — Oct. 18 vs. the Baltimore Ravens, Oct. 22 vs. the New York Giants and Nov. 1 vs. the Dallas Cowboys.
