Yesterday’s Flyers practice was a newsworthy event.

Sean Couturier went down when he was tripped by Radko Gudas, and his availability for tonight’s game 4 against the Pens at the Wells is unknown.

And, coach Dave Hakstol shook up his line-up, which is appropriate considering they are down 2 games to 1 in the best-of-seven series:

I don’t think it’s about balancing the skill level I think it’s just about finding the right spot for [Travis Konecny, above]. He’s versatile, I think what we found with TK is whatever line we put him on he can be an impact player, especially offensively he can drive a line, he can take it to another level. He’s been good with whoever we’ve had him with, he’s been good with Coots and G, I liked him the other day with Simmer and Fil, I think he’s been a productive player.

Jake Voracek

“We’re going to generate some offense by scoring some goals. Out there during the games, I think that’s all that matters, so just going to make sure we don’t get scored on. I’m pretty confident that if we keep Crosby in the defensive zone, we have a pretty good chance to win. Hopefully, it’s going to happen.”

Nolan Patrick:

“I think being good buddies off the ice helps on the ice too. I’ve obviously played with Simmonds before and know what he’s about. It gives us a different look and obviously the coaching staff has confidence in us so hopefully we can roll with it.”

Travis Konecny:

“I’ve had an opportunity to play with Simmonds this year a little bit so I think I’m comfortable there. I’m excited to play with Patty. I haven’t had the opportunity to do that very much throughout this year. We’re pretty close so it will probably translate onto the ice and we read off each other pretty good.”

Wayne Simmonds:

“I think [Konecny’s] doing a good job, obviously he’s a feisty guy, he’s in your face, he causes a lot of havoc. If he’s gonna continue to do what he was we’re gonna get a ton of opportunities off of it and he’s getting opportunities himself.”
