The Sixers pulled the trigger on Kentucky’s Tyrese Maxey the other night at 21 in the NBA draft.
Lots of fans were delighted, but perhaps none more than LeBron James:
@TyreseMaxey CONGRATS Lil bro!! Proud of you kid. The work continues! Philly got a good one for sure!

Maxey, a 6-3 guard, is currently managed by the company of LeBron James and super-agent Rich Paul, Klutch Sports. He is one of the latest young stars to have joined the powerhouse agency.
In Maxey, the Sixers get a capable combo guard with the capability to put the ball in the basket. The former Wildcat also has a relatively formidable jumper and possesses the athletic ability to play above the rim. In 31 games played for Kentucky last season, the 20-year-old averaged 14.0 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.2 assists, all while also connecting on 1.1 triples per game.
