CHIEFS LIST TONEY, SMITH-SCHUSTER IFFY, HARDMAN DOUBTFUL!

By Sally Fahey

The Chiefs listed Kadarius Toney (ankle/hamstring) and Juju Smith-Schuster as questionable for Super Bowl LVII against the Eagles.

Toney went down with the ankle issue in the AFC Championship in the first quarter and was unable to return. The hamstring issue is likely a continuation of what he has been dealing with all year. Andy Reid sounded optimistic about Toney’s status earlier this week, though we will get more clarity next week. assuming he goes, Toney will be a boom/bust DFS option for the final slate of the year.

It’s possible the Chiefs clear JuJu from the injury report before the end of next week. Andy Reid said he was in a good place earlier in the week. His absences from practice appear to be cautionary, though we should get more clarity on the situation soon. If he goes, JuJu will be the best bet to lead Kansas City’s receivers in targets, though their top pass-catcher is obviously Travis Kelce.

They also listed Mecole Hardman (pelvis) as doubtful.

The Chiefs have a handful of players currently listed as questionable. Those could change by next Friday, but we don’t anticipate Hardman’s tag to improve over the next week. Andy Reid has already said as much, noting on Thursday he doubts Hardman will be able to go. Kadarius Toney will take on some of Hardman’s snaps, assuming Toney is able to play
