Celtics guard Jaylen Brown says he’s ready for tonight’s game 2 against the Sixers, but the Celtics aren’t so sure.

The Celtics tweeted yesterday that coach Brad Stevens had listed Brown as “doubtful” for the game.

“I’ll be back,” Brown, who is suffering from a right hamstring injury, told NBC Sports Boston earlier this week. “I’m playing.”

Without Brown, who tried to talk his way into playing in Monday’s Game 1, the Celtics beat the Sixers 117-101 in the first game of their Eastern Conference semifinal series.

Brown was ruled out 40 minutes before the start of that game.

“There was some concern that I could re-aggravate it and it becomes a season-ending injury,” Brown said of his hamstring. “I’m basically trying to come back in two days from a two-week type injury.”

Brown averaged 20.5 points over the first six games of the Milwaukee series.
