Is Jordan Weal the answer to the latest question haunting the Flyers as they try to regroup and save their season?
The Lehigh Valley Phantoms’ leading scorer was on the ice with the Flyers for yesterday’s practice and in a top-six role for Dave Hakstol’s team that has three new lines after its latest defeat.
“I think that’s inevitable. That’s the way it works,” Wayne Simmonds said. “Things get shuffled around if you’re not scoring goals. We’re playing well defensively. We’re just not putting the puck in the back of the net. For us, Hak’s just got to find that combinations. Last year we weren’t scoring goals and then finally we got some line combinations that clicked the last quarter of the year and we were fine from then on.”
