Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer said after Sunday’s loss to the Heat that X-rays on the back of Giannis Antetokounmpo (lower back contusion) came back clear.
Antetokounmpo fell hard on his back on a drive to the basket during the first half of Sunday’s Game 1 loss to the Heat, exiting for good during the second quarter.
The good news is that the X-rays showed no fracture, and the Bucks will wait to see how Giannis feels this morning.
Game 2 isn’t until Wednesday night, so he’ll have a little more time to recover. Should Antetokounmpo not be able to play, Bobby Portis would move into the starting lineup.
