Cam Atkinson scored a couple of goals in the Flyers 5-3 win over the Edmonton Oilers.
The first was a buzzer-beater in the opening period to give the Flyers a 3-2 lead heading into the break.
With less than five minutes played in the third period, he hammered a shot past Mikko Koskinen to give Philly another lead, and one that they didn’t lose.
Sean Couturier also had a two-point performance with a goal and an assist of his own in the victory. Atkinson finished the game with a plus-1 rating, four shots on goal, a minor penalty and a hit in 16:26 of ice time. The 32-year-old has six goals and an assist through five games with his new club.
