BUTLER SAVES HEAT FOR GM 7: SIXERS NEVER SHOULD’VE LET HIM GO!

By Jerry Wein

Jimmy Butler went off for 47 points on 16-of-29 shooting (4-of-8 3-pointers) and made all 11 of his foul shots with nine rebounds, eight assists, four steals and one block as the Heat beat the Celtics 111-103 in Game 6.

Butler had 21 points, nine rebounds, six assists, three triples, and two steals in the first half alone.

The Heat were playing for their season, so it isn’t surprising that he came out in attack mode, but it certainly wasn’t expected given the way he’s looked over the last two games.

His turnaround fadeaway in the right corner with 43.9 seconds remaining gave Miami a 107-101 lead.

He now has four 40-point games this postseason, which is the most in the NBA. We will now get a Game 7 in Miami on Sunday night.

Memo to Sixers fans:

What would Philly have been in the past three years if they had chosen to keep Butler and let Tobias Harris or Ben Simmons go?
