ESPN’s Adam Schefter believes Eagles QBs coach Brian Johnson will be promoted to offensive coordinator.
This isn’t a done deal, but Schefter said on 97.5 The Fanatic “you can basically take that to the bank” when discussing the likelihood of Johnson’s promotion.
Johnson has been instrumental in Jalen Hurts’ development over the last two seasons, and has a relationship that dates back to Hurts’ childhood.
Schefter also notes Johnson’s meteoric rise in the coaching world, saying he “would’ve been handed at least six offensive coordinator jobs” around the league if the Eagles didn’t promote him
