Fox29 has hired Breland Moore as sports anchor and reporter, replacing the recently departed Kristen Rodgers on the station’s weekday newscasts at 5, 6, 10 and 11 p.m.

The Reading native will also host “Sports Sunday” and anchor the station’s Eagles pregame show “Game Day” during the NFL season.

She comes from the CBS affiliate KCTV in Kansas City. Prior to that, she was a sports reporter for WHEC in Rochester, New York, where she covered the Buffalo Bills. Moore began her career in television at Service Electric Cable TV in Allentown.

She is a graduate of Muhlenberg High School and earned a 2014 degree in journalism from Temple, where she spent time as the university’s mascot, Hooter.
