No matter which quarterback in the rivalry you prefer — even if you hate them both — there is an undeniable wistfulness in their (presumably) last battle this today in the AFC championship game (3:05 p.m. ET on CBS3). Tom Brady will likely play after this season, but this is (presumably) it for Peyton Manning, who can barely throw the ball farther than 10 yards downfield. The two men who shaped professional sports as much as anyone for a generation, facing off one final time, with no less than Super Bowl 50, perhaps the most high-profile Super Bowl of them all, on the line. You might be exhausted by the endless discussion of the two men — how could you not be? — but that’s a big damned deal.
