Brian Billick won a Super Bowl as coach of the Baltimore Ravens and now he works as an NFL Network analyst.
So, of course, the media seek him out to answer the trenchant question of the day:
What’s wrong with the Eagles, and especially Chip Kelly?
So what did Billick answer?
Typical conventional wisdom mush.
“This could be a powder keg in Philadelphia,” Billick told Mike Francesa on New York’s WFAN Wednesday. “I think you’ve got a lot of players there that went 10-6 back-to-back and you can’t say much, you have to drink the Kool-Aid. The changes they’ve made administratively, what they’ve done with the players, I’m not sure the players in terms of the way they structure practice and the way Chip goes about it they’re doing it.
“But this thing could blow up. This thing could get ugly if they continue along these ways for a lot of different reasons. But as far as the players buying in, they’ve had to the last two years, but this is going to be interesting to watch.”
