For a 37th season, Bill Raftery, who played for the Explorers in the 1960s, will be on the mic for the NCAA tournament, which means college basketball fans across the land will hear him shout his iconic catchphrases for nearly the fourth decade.
That’s as much of a tradition as, say, filling out a bracket.
During a CBS and Turner media breakfast in New York a couple of weeks ago, USA Today asked the iconic CBS analyst if he would share with us the origin stories behind some of those phrases that have become a huge part of March Madness.
