There’s been growing speculation that the Chicago Bears would move out of the No. 1 spot in the 2023 NFL Draft.
And according to Adam Schefter of ESPN, it appears that is indeed the case as they are “leaning toward” trading the pick.
This means you can throw out the Justin Fields trade rumors as Chicago appears to be committed to building a team around him, as they should.
With the Bears having open ears, expect teams such as the Texans (2nd pick), Colts (4th pick), Seahawks (5th pick), Lions (6th pick), Raiders (7th pick), Falcons (8th pick), and Panthers (9th pick) to express interest.
Sources: The Bears already have been approached by multiple teams about trading the draft’s No. 1 overall pick, and Chicago is said to be “leaning toward” moving the pick. So the No. 1 pick now looks like it’s for sale. pic.twitter.com/2w03L6qP0L
