Count former Eagles great safety Brian Dawkins as one who thinks Eagles quarterback is too talented to keep playing as badly as he did last Sunday against the Cowboys.
B-Dawk is currently an ESPN NFL analyst, and he has a theory for why Bradford looks nothing like the quarterback who dazzled during the preseason and 30 minutes in the Georgia dome.
“I need his eyes to shrink a little bit more,” Dawkins told Mike Missanelli this week on 97.5 FM the Fanatic. “In other words, he’s playing too nervous. The dude has talent.
“People say preseason doesn’t matter, the wins and losses don’t matter. But, the accuracy of a quarterback does. It’s now about taking steps forward and believing that the offensive line can protect him and the receivers have to catch everything.”
