Can it be?
Can it possibly be?
Awful ex-Eagle QB Matt Barkley is back on a 53-man NFL roster!
Barkley will be on the 53-man roster for Chicago’s game Sunday night against the Cowboys. He replaces linebacker Lamarr Houston, who was placed on injured reserve with an ACL injury suffered in Monday night’s loss to the Eagles.
Barkley was signed to the Bears practice squad after being waived by the Cardinals at the end of the preseason.
Barkley will back up Brian Hoyer, who was backing up Jay Cutler before the starter left Monday night’s game with a thumb injury. Cutler is out for the next two to three weeks.
