The Phillies bought infielder Esteban Quiroz from the Cubs soon after Rhys Hoskins went down for the year with an ACL.
Quiroz went unclaimed on waivers after being designated for assignment last November by the Cubs and will head to Philly to bolster their infield depth.
The 31-year-old journeyman infielder got into 14 games last year for Chicago.
