2 YEARS LATE: JJ ARCEGA-WHITESIDE FINALLY MAKES BIG EAGLES PLAY!

By Harvey Hoffman

JJ Arcega-Whiteside has basically been a non-event since the Eagles drafted him out of UNC in 2019.

But he came up big on this play just before the half for 42 yards and a TD, finishing with 57 yards on two catches.

Will that be enough to keep him on the roster when cuts are made August 31?

“I’m not going to lie, it felt good,” Arcega-Whiteside said. “But at the same time you can’t look in the past. You have to take it day by day.”

He was asked if he felt he did enough to make the team:

“That’s not my job. My job is to go out there and play football and whatever happens, happens. You can’t worry about that. Just go out there and play and help this team win games.”
