Jeff Passan of ESPN reports that the Mets have agreed to a one-year deal with free agent reliever David Robertson.
This announcement comes shortly after Passan reported that the Mets have re-signed Brandon Nimmo.
Robertson had a career resurgence in 2022, finishing with 20 saves with the Cubs and Phillies while posting a 2.40 ERA over 63 1/3 innings.
He’ll be a set-up reliever for Edwin Diaz.
