If you are a Sixers fan you have to be a little beaten up by all the losing.
And the organization is keenly aware that the fans who have shown up at the Wells deserve some payback.
Now, on the heels of Monday night’s first home victory — a come-from-behind win — the Sixers are in the payback business.
Here’s what Scott O’Neill, Sixers CEO, emailed:
What an amazing sight last night! 18,000 Sixers fans standing, screaming and cheering for the last 2 minutes and 47 seconds of the game! That’s passion. That’s devotion. That’s why Philadelphia is the greatest sports town in the world. We thrive on your energy.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for believing in us. We are proud to play for you. You care more and want it more than any fans in the NBA. And we love you for it.
This is a small token of our appreciation. We have two free tickets for you. Pick any game. Bring your passion. Bring your voice. I can’t wait to stand with you!
We will follow-up with you this week with details on how to redeem your tickets.
