The Associated Press is reporting this morning that President Trump may pardon Louisville’s deceased boxing great Muhammad Ali.

It is unclear what charge he is considering a pardon for. Ali’s conviction for draft evasion was overturned by the U.S. Supreme Court in 1971.

In 1967, Ali refused to be inducted into the U.S. Army, citing religious reasons. He was immediately stripped of his Heavy Weight title and convicted of draft evasion.
