After a 25-day layoff from NBA game competition because of his sore left knee, Sixers All-Star Center Joel Embiid made his long awaited return to the floor on Sunday against the Pacers.

The “Process” did not disappoint!

Taking the first half to shake off rust, Embiid went to work on the Indiana big guys. After being down at halftime, the Sixers came out with a vengeance in the third quarter. The defense, led by the 24-year-old Cameroon native, smothered the Pacers, and Embiid ravaged the Pacers for 33 points and 12 rebounds!

More importantly, he cut off the paint production for the Pacers big guys, forcing them into 6 for 24 shooting as the Sixers took the lead for good.

The win gave them the season series vs Indiana moving them into the 3rd seed in Eastern Conference seeding with 14 games to go on the schedule.

Said Embiid: “As the game kept going, I just kept getting better, getting to the line a lot, the game started slowing down for me”

The final 14 games on the schedule will determine how potent the 76ers can be going into the playoffs next month, with Embiid leading the way on the defensive end of the court the sky’s the limit, now coach Brett Brown needs to get the rest of the squad to play with their all world center’s intensity.
