After the Pistons’ 133-132 overtime victory over the Sixers, there was some postgame Twitter tit-for-tat between Joel Embiid and Andre Drummond, who had gotten ejected after apparently elbowing Embiid to the floor following a layup by the Sixers star.

“I feel like I own a lot of real estate in his head,” Embiid told the Inky. Drummond wasted no time responding to Embiid’s agitating words, voicing his disagreement via Twitter.

“Lol does he? If that’s so he wouldn’t be so excited to have me off the floor? Think about it that’s a silly statement ! I’ll take the W though enjoy flight home.”

When Drummond was ejected, Embiid was certainly pleased to see him go, gesturing dramatically for the Pistons big man to get off the floor, which is what Drummond was referencing with his “so excited” phrase.

Before his ejection, Drummond was having a decent game. He had 14 points and 16 rebounds to go along with three steals and two blocks but shot an uncharacteristic low of 30 percent from the field.

While the Pistons went on to win the game, it was without Drummond’s assistance. He will have to block out Embiid the next time the two teams match up — Nov. 3 — to ensure he can help his team bring home a win.
