Sixers rookie phenom Joel Embiid is talking payback!

On Nov. 17, the Minnesota Timberwolves steamrolled the 76ers 110-86 on national television, with Minnesota’s Andrew Wiggins (35 points, 10 rebounds) and Karl-Anthony Towns (25 points, 10 boards) having big outings.

With the 8-24 Sixers hosting the 11-23 Wolves tonight, Embiid, who had 10 points and 10 rebounds in the first meeting, plans on things being different this time.

“I think it’s payback time,” said Embiid after yesterday’s practice at the team’s training facility. “Since that game ended, I couldn’t stop thinking about it, so I’m excited to go up against them again.”

“Personally, you just can’t wait to play them again,” Sixers coach Brett Brown said. “Our guys can’t wait to play them again. That was zero reflection of who we are.”
