This years’s NBA draft will be held June 21 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, and for the first time in memory the 76ers will pick at No. 10 and No. 26 in the first round.

Four players from the NCAA champ Villanova Wildcats are eligible in this draft — all four have been linked to being 76er selections, very rare, but quite possible!

Forward Mikal Bridges, guard Jalen Brunson are a definite, Donte DiVincenzo and Omari Spellman (above) can opt out by May 30th, but appear to like their chances of being drafted.

Various mock drafts have the Sixers taking Bridges at 10, and Spellman at 26. Others have Brunson being selected at 26.

These Wildcats are very good on-the-ball defenders, an aspect of the game the Sixers will be looking to upgrade after their series playoff loss to the Boston Celtics which exposed them at the defensive end, a big reason for the series loss in 5 games.

Of course, this is all speculative before the draft, but these are top tier players, champions that the 76ers could do worse not calling their names on draft day.
