Steph Curry, the  two-time NBA MVP shot four-over 74, just like Thursday at the Ellie Mae Classic at TPC Stonebrae, scoring two birdies and four bogeys.

“It was an unbelievable experience, and to shoot two 74s, I’ll take that,” said Curry, who didn’t make the cut yesterday.

Curry — who played the round in his new basketball sneakers, the Curry 4s that come out in October — exceeded his own expectations, but hedged that by adding “when you don’t really know what to expect going in, it’s hard to set expectations.”

The four-time NBA All-Star made the turn on the front with a troublesome four-over 39 consisting of four bogeys and no birdies. He then settled in and found his form on the back, rattling off four straight pars before birdieing the 14th and 17th holes, ultimately playing the back at even-par.
