The early results are in for the 2019 All Star game fan voting, and Phils catcher J. T. Realmuto is doing well.
He is the only Phillies player to rank in the top three in the first stage of voting — third among NL catchers with 206,442 votes. The Cubs’ Willson Contreras is first with 850,613 votes. The Braves’ Brian McCann is second with 269,963 votes.
Second baseman Cesar Hernandez has more votes (265,608) than any other Phillies player. He ranks fourth among second basemen.
Phillies right fielder Bryce Harper (242,719) is 10th among NL outfielders. He is 269 votes behind the Dodgers’ Alex Verdugo for ninth place. The top nine outfielders make it to the next round of voting.
