Bryce Harper didn’t start again yesterday because of a sore right hand caused by being hit by a pitch Friday night, but he pinch-hit and battled Mets right-hander Tyler Bashlor for nine pitches before drawing a walk that sent Sean Rodriguez home for the 10th run of the game.

“I felt good in the cage and I let [manager Gabe Kapler] know that during the game,” Harper said. “If there was an opportunity to get some runs in, he would put me in.”

Harper said he expects to be back in the starting lineup tonight when the Phillies face the Braves at Citizens Bank Park.

The Phillies are two games behind the Cubs for the second National League Wild Card spot.
