The Phillies’ bench is about to become deeper — maybe as early as today’s game in Phoenix.

Third baseman J.P. Crawford could rejoin the team today after a 10-day stint on the DL because of a broken left hand.

“We could also push it beyond the off-day and see where we stand at that point,” Phillies manager Gabe Kapler said yesterday about Crawford’s return.

Crawford had worked into a regular role at third base before his injury.

But Maikel Franco has hit .336 with eight doubles, nine home runs, 21 RBIs and a .972 OPS since June 23. He is expected to remain in the lineup.

Recently acquired infielder Asdrubal Cabrera is likely to continue to play regularly at shortstop, too.
