The Phillies have reached an agreement with veteran right-hander reliever Tommy Hunter on a two-year, $18 million deal, FanRag’s Jon Heyman reports. Hunter rehabilitated his value over the past year, again becoming a reliable middle reliever. He signed a minor-league deal with the Tampa Bay Rays in February and pitched 58.2 innings last season. He closed it out with a 2.61 ERA to make him an attractive relief option on this year’s market. He struck out batters a career-best clip of 9.8/9 innings.
