Penn State coach James Franklin picked up a commitment from 3-star wide receiver Emery Simmons last Saturday night.
Emery Simmons of Hope Mills, North Carolina, flipped his commitment from Indiana to North Carolina in late June, before finally settling on the Nits Saturday. He joins 4-star defensive end Hakeem Beamon as the second recruit of the 2019 cycle to flip his pledge from the Tar Heels to Penn State.
Simmons is coming off of an impressive junior season in which he racked up 55 receptions for 997 yards and 12 touchdowns. The 6-1, 185-pound prospect is the 13th member of the blue and white’s 2019 class, which ranks 15th nationally and third in the Big Ten.
