Karekin Brooks ran for two first-quarter touchdowns as Penn pummeled Bucknell 34-17 in their season opener..
Ryan Glover threw a pair of touchdown passes for Penn, which has beaten Bucknell (0-3) in seven straight games.
Both Brooks’ scoring runs came from inside the seven-yard line. Jack Soslow kicked field goals from 48 and 49 yards, and Glover hit Tyler Herrick with a 33-yard TD pass and the Quakers led 27-3 early in the second quarter.
The game was delayed late in the third quarter when Penn’s senior starting safety and captain Sam Philippi was injured and left the field on a stretcher.
It was the 35th meeting between the schools, but the first since 2010 in a series that began in 1895.
