Greg Ward played quarterback at Houston — he can run and throw, but his style doesn’t translate well to the NFL.

So he will most likely transition to a wide receiver in the NFL.

Unlike other quarterbacks who have transitioned to receiver in the NFL, Ward came into college at wide receiver and also has some experience returning kicks. At only 5-11 he is fast enough to create separation, and he has shown enough shimmy to make defenders miss in the open field.

He is an Eagles developmental prospect but he will definitely make the practice squad due to his ability to mock the NFL’s mobile quarterbacks, and allow him to develop as a route runner.

Ward could potentially be a big play threat at the wide receiver position
