The Eagles claimed safety Marcus Epps off waivers from the Minnesota Vikings.

A sixth-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, the 23-year-old Epps played in the first eight games for Minnesota and had one tackle in 12 snaps on defense.

The Eagles now have Malcolm Jenkins and Rodney McLeod as the starters at safety. Rudy Ford is a special teams player. Avonte Maddox also has safety experience.

The Eagles had a roster spot open after waiving safety Andrew Sendejo on Tuesday. Sendejo returned to the Vikings, who waived Epps to bring him back.
