Daryl Worley was an was an Eagle for a fleeting moment last spring when he was traded back in March for wide receiver Torrey Smith
But the Eagles dropped him like a hot coal, releasing Worley after he was arrested, and the Raiders were quick to give him a second chance.
This summer, Worley has established himself as a guy who can really help the Raiders secondary, and the thought was he would be a lock to make the team’s 53-man roster. However, that may not be the case to start the season.
Worley plead guilty to three charges back in June, including a charge for driving under the influence. It was only a matter of time before the NFL brought the hammer, and during the Raiders broadcast of their last preseason game, former Raiders quarterback Rich Gannon spilled the beans.
The Raiders own broadcast broke the news yesterday:
He’s out for the first four games, suspended for the Raiders first four games.
