As the Eagles finish up the preseason against the Browns tonight and then the Jets a week later, all the focus and energy will be on NFL opener September 6 at the Linc as the Eagles open their defense of the Super Bowl vs the Falcons.

Just this past week Birds franchise QB Carson Wentz was cleared for 11-on-11 drills, prompting Lane Johnson to declare, “The Sheriff is back in town”, giving the Eagles an extra bounce in their step as the regular season gets closer.

Back-up Nick Foles (above) also will be back starting the Browns game after a shoulder injury against the Pats last week turned out to be minor.

Roster spots at the end of the roster are still open to be won. Rookie RB Josh Adams will get some action vs the Browns hoping he still has enough carries to turn heads and make the final 53 as final cuts get nearer.

DE Brandon Graham also came off the PUP list and started practicing this week, eyeing the Falcons opener for a return.

Staying healthy is the key as these last two preseason games quickly will be played out and roster spots will be solidified before the opener in two weeks as the Eagles play their first ever regular season game as defending Super Bowl Champs!
