The Eagles added another veteran quarterback yesterday, signing Joe Callahan to a two-year deal.

The Absecon, New Jersey native has spent time with the Packers, Saints, and Browns since originally joining the NFL as a rookie free agent in 2016 out of Wesley College in Dover, Delaware.

He made his NFL regular-season debut in the Packers’ 2017 finale, completing 5-of-7 passes for 11 yards. The 6-1, 216-pound Callahan was the primary backup to Brett Hundley after Aaron Rodgers injured his collarbone.

In two preseasons with the Packers, Callahan posted a 61.5 completion percentage while throwing for 611 yards and three touchdowns against no interceptions.

Callahan led Holy Spirit High School in Absecon to a New Jersey State Championship with a perfect 12-0 record as a senior.
